• Chartered Financial Planner - Canadian Institute of Financial Planning.
• Retired educator of Economics and Law - Over twenty-five years teaching the principals of Economics, Law, and Financial Planning to senior students 
• Over thirty years direct experience in property management and real estate development; 
• President of Bennett Financial Services Corp.

Volunteer Positions:

• Former treasurer and director on the board of St.David's - Abbeyfield Society. This society built and continues to manage two non-profit seniors homes in Delta, B.C.;
• Past Project Advisor for the Canadian Studies Foundation;
• Governor and a past member of the National Executive of the Canadian Unity Council;
• Past National Chair of the Canadian Unity Council's Exchange and Youth Programs Committee;
• Member of the Advisory Board of the Historica Foundation;
• B.C. President of the 'Encounters With Canada' program. This program, sends over 3,200 Canadian high school students to the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre in Ottawa every year;
• President of The Rotary Club of Kelowna 2006 – 2007;
• President and Co-Founder of the Rotary Club of Kelowna Foundation;
• President and Co-founder of the Encounters With Canada Support Foundation.
